Gary Simpson, MD, PhD, MPH was trained in internal medicine at the Pete Bent Brigham Hospital and in infectious diseases at the Radcliffe Infirmary (Oxford), and the Stanford University Medical Center.  He has graduate degrees from the Rush Medical College, the University of Illinois, Balliol College (Oxford), and the Harvard School of Public Health.  He has more than 30 years experience in academic medicine, infectious diseases, and public health, and until recently, was the Medical Director, Infectious Diseases, New Mexico Department of Health.

Laura Martinez, PhD, RN received her basic nursing education and earned a doctorate at the University of New Mexico.  Dr. Martinez taught psychiatric nursing for over 30 years.  She helped create one of the first minority recruitment and retention programs in nursing.  She was also instrumental in developing graduate programs in nursing for students from Mexico. 

William Wiese, MD, MPH has over 30 years of experience in primary care, academic medicine and public health. He was an original member of the U S Preventive Health Services Task Force.  He is currently the director of the Institute for Public Health at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

William R. Graber is the retired chief financial officer of McKesson Corporation, where he held that position from 2000 to 2004. From 1991 - 1999, he was controller, vice president and treasurer, and chief financial officer of the Mead Corporation. From 1965 -1991, Mr. Graber was employed by General Electric Company in various financial management positions. He serves on the boards of Kaiser Permanente, The Mosaic Company, Archimedes Inc., and the Washington State University Foundation, and is an active supporter of the American Heart Association.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Washington State University.

Greg Dworkin, MD is a founding editor of Flu Wiki and Flu Wiki Forum, an international resource of pandemic influenza information. Dr. Dworkin is a pediatric pulmonologist and Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology and Medical Director of the Pediatric In-patient Unit at Danbury Hospital in Danbury CT, where he has been in clinical practice for eighteen years.Dr. Dworkin received his S.B. in Life Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MD from Albany Medical College. He completed residencies and a pulmonary fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.

James Stapleton, MSN, FNP is a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing in an urban primary care setting.  He has over 20 years of experience in clinical practice and nursing education including working with nurse practitioner and nurse midwifery students. 

Nancy Ridenour, PhD, RN, APRN. BC, FAAN is Dean and Professor of Nursing at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing. Dr. Ridenour completed her BSN and MSN at the University of Colorado.  She received her PhD at Texas Tech University.  She has over 28 years of experience in nursing education, administration and clinical practice.  Prior to coming to New Mexico, she was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow in Health Policy  in Washington, D C working with the Ways and Means Committee on Capitol Hill.
